What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website saves in your browser. Browser storage (localStorage) works in a similar way but is only read by scripts on the same website. This policy explains both.
Essential cookie
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
kclap_sid | Keeps you signed in after you sign in. HttpOnly, so page scripts can't read it, and sent over a secure connection. | Until you close your browser or sign out |
This cookie is strictly necessary for accounts to work, so it doesn't need your consent. It is only set when you sign in.
Browser storage
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
kclap_age | Remembers that you confirmed you are 18+ and in the UK | Until you clear it |
kclap_cookies | Remembers your cookie choice | Until you clear it |
We don't keep any account details, passwords, coins or levels in your browser. Those stay on our server.
Third-party cookies
If you choose Continue with Google, Google may set its own cookies to run its sign-in service. These are covered by Google's privacy policy. We don't use advertising cookies, and we don't run third-party tracking on Kclap. Our games come from our own server and may use browser storage to remember in-game settings.
Your choices
Use Cookie settings in the footer to change your choice at any time. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; if you block the essential cookie, you won't be able to stay signed in, but guest play still works.
